How will your interactive learning resource specifically ensure that the needs of all learners can be met?
To begin with, Our interactive learning resource are offered fully online, so our students are able to easily access to our learning material, which is especially suitable during this pandemic period.
Moreover, we have carefully designed the level of difficulties for our lesson. There are students who are more willing to learn something interesting instead of things that are professional. Therefore, we focused on attracting students’ interest at the beginning and going deeper step by step. Students won’t think our learning resources boring and overwhelming. They are able to acquiring the most practical Economic theory with interests. However, if there are students that are perusing professional aspects of Economics, our learning design is able to help with that as well. We have prepared materials that are in-depth for the learners who find out that they are really into Economics a lot.
Consider the learning environment for your current design. What potential barriers can be reduced or eliminated to provide more pathways for learner success?
Due to the COVID-19, the face to face classroom has became a luxury for most students. Therefore, we designed our course completely online, so that they are able to easily learn Economics from home. Although students and teachers cannot physically see each other. It is still easy for them to communicate with each others. We have set up zoom meetings every class in order to let them communicate with instructors easily. Moreover, we have utilized the website Canvas and Feedly, so that students can post their questions and their thoughts on their personal webpage, and others will help them by commenting below. The pattern is similar to discuss something on twitter or facebook. Students will enjoy this new pattern of discussion comparing to discussing in the class with each other in the past. Their words will also be more clear and precise because they will consider their words more carefully when comment instead of speaking out directly.
